It took me 17 days to get out of the UK but I finally made it.
For a change I headed west instead of east. Some photos from my flight and - assuming I can find something worth photographing - two weeks in Texas.
After an uninspiring week in Houston, I headed down to Galveston - only to find the foggiest day of the year. Luckily it began to clear late morning and I managed to get a handful of photos. The next day I went to the site of the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836 where the Texan Army under Sam Houston defeated the Mexicans.
The dress code for the Sales Awards Dinner was to wear something representing where you are from.
