| An interesting start to the trip.
A BA flight had to be evacuated at Edinburgh airport after fire broke out. I was sitting in the lounge feeling smug that I was travelling KLM when I was called over the tannoy. My KLM flight to Beijing had been cancelled and I was being re-routed via Paris, but would have to travel to Paris on BA. Of course my journey turned out to be totally uneventful and those nice people at Air France got me to Beijing only an hour late. I was welcomed to Beijing by freezing fog and blizzards. Oh Joy. Saturday's trip to Shanghai was cancelled due to thick fog and it looked like I would be unable to get any pictures. I decided to go to Badaling on Sunday to try my luck and eneded up with a few pics - but nothing to write home about. |
